The 2019 ICC World Cup, set to be held in England and Wales, will be a 50-over tournament that is scheduled to start from May 30. It is set to be a 48-match tournament, with 45 of those games set to be played in the group stages.

The opening match will be between hosts England and South Africa at The Oval on May 30. India’s first game will be against the Proteas on June 5 at Southampton.The tournament will follow the round-robin format, similar to the 1992 World Cup schedule, where top four teams will qualify and play the semifinals.

In what might be considered as the Indian Cricket Team's last leg of assembly before this year's ICC World Cup, the men in blue will be locking horns with Australia in an upcoming home series. Going forward, the second T20I will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru while Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ranchi, Mohali, and Delhi will be hosting the five ODIs.

Afghanistan and Ireland are ready to face each other this summer in India. The full three-format series which was scheduled to commence on 23rd of February will now be starting from 21st of February. This change was made to avoid a clash with the Indian Premier League.
